I am not one for clutter. I get rid of things when I get something new. My minimalist approach to life, in general, also shapes how I design. I strive to live and design with purpose and intentionality. A simple design is often thought of as rushed or careless, but to the surprise of some, it takes a lot more thought and attention to detail. Design is problem solving.
I’ve always loved to express my creative side, and have found out new ways to do that in the past few years. I fell in love with cooking and the reward it brings, but recognized that many people felt it took talent to cook, or had a bad experience and avoid it all together. I designed a clean, easy to navigate, time based app for beginner cooks to take a courageous step forward and experience the rewarding act of cooking. Homemade Chef is designed with the user in mind, focusing on what is most important in modern society using technology. Technology is constantly updating and the way people think and act change a long with it. I am modernizing the way western society learns to cook through the app’s intentionality, simplicity, and goal oriented objective.
