Our printmaking studio is a large classroom-like space used for many beginning courses as well as Beginning through Advanced Printmaking courses. Among the equipment in this studio is: a Takach printing press, tabletop proofing press, silkscreen exposure unit, silkscreen washout booth, and plenty of etching tools. One wall is fully windowed offering natural light that opens up the space. You can also use this window to look out over campus and observe the hustle and bustle of student life.
This space houses large worktables encouraging collaboration and plenty of room for students to use to spread out their work. The room is outlined with storage space, state of the art paper trimmers, buckets of magazines, ventilation for fumes, and large drying racks for wet work. The more time students spend in this space, the more they enjoy it. It serves many purposes and of course, helps students develop professionally in their work.
