Gabriel Moreno | Past Perfect Machinations
Past Perfect Machinations
September 28 - October 27, 2017
Artist lecture: Thursday, September 28, 6 pm
Gabriel Moreno is an artist working across sculpture and installation. Moreno’s process is defined by a particular approach to production: how to recognize the dynamic play of time, labors, and social value. His work investigates site, histories of (re)production, and forms of social communion. Utilizing a diverse range of methods, he works to visualize thought as it is embedded and active in material form. Moreno has recently received support from the Hyde Park Art Center, Randy Alexander Gallery, The Ronald E. McNair Program, and The Figge Art Museum. His work traverses galleries, museums, and public space. He received his BA from Knox College, and MFA from The University of Chicago.
